Hey everyone!
I've decided to start a blog/journal here because... I think it will help me stay active, and I want to let you guys know what's going on with me and how my book is going.
So, I'll start with a bit of an intro... I know it says "road to publishing," but so far this means editing and trying to write a query letter so I can get a literary agent. So here's a bit about my book. It's a fantasy novel roughly 100,000 words, and it'd probably have a junior high/high school market. That's pretty much all you need to know...
From now on I'll probably be posting every now and then - whenever there's news. By the way, once I get a query letter written, I'm first sending it to Nelson Literary Agency ( www.nelsonagency.com/ ). I've done my research, don't worry, and they're not on Writer Beware or anything, and they represent fantasy and YA authors, so it should work in that regard. I've been trying to either edit over a query or write another draft fairly often, so I'll be able to get one done soon. Plus, I've been putting edits into the computer file of my book, and that's a very tedious process but coming along alright yet. Well, I should go. Later!
