Okay,I've been thinking about writing a Romantic/Comedy story. A novel if you please. And I'm not too sure on the plot ... Can someone help tell me if i could improve it and make it funnier? or what?
I know tenses/pronunciation etc is bad, but right now it's just a short draft of what i think i want.

Samantha McKenzie is your average librarian. She likes to read her books, and also likes to check out what other people are reading. She could normally judge someone by the books they take out the library, if it was a book on Science she could tell almost immediately that the person was in college or university. She often checks out a guy called Christian Smillie. She fancied him rotten. Her only problem, however, was the act that she was a book/computer/science/astronomy/Maths and English Geek. He however, was a musical genius! He was hot, brown hair, green eyes, When he was in the library with his friends it was all Sam could do, was sit at her desk and stare at him. She was only 27, that, or a librarian was young, she figured that was why he didn't even bother to ask her for the time of day. Her friends however, encourage her to make a move. They push her toward him, make her sing to him, make her read poetry. Yet everything she does, the man she desires doesn't even bat an eyelash at her. So she gives up, in the end withdrawing behind her cosy and safe desk. Her moods so bad she gets fired yet gets hired by a computer shop, she didn't like it but it paid bills. She gets flowers form a 'secret admirer' Which scares the crap out of her, she confides in her best friend, Samuel Winters. He doesn't know either, and they both try and get to the bottom of it, Samuel trying to track down who sent them, he was a geek too. Even ore o a computer geek … he was a hacker, and Samantha liked that, it gave him a sense of coolness to her. Samuel himself was 4 months younger than herself, short red hair and the brightest blue eyes Sam new. He also wasn't from Britain. He was born in Africa. His parents had moved their from spending their whole lives in London to there, had Samuel and moved back, their little baby slowly getting pale with the British weather. Finally getting found out when he put Sam's nickname on a card with a huge teddy bear and flowers, Samantha confronts him and he tells her he loves her, always has nd it hurt to tell her to get with Christian. Yet Samantha blows him off and doesn't talk to him for a while, yet without him, her life seems miserable. She didn't realize how much she needed her best friend. Hoe much she loved him.
