No really. They do.
I've just joined, and I've been messing with a story in my head for a few months. I think it has potential, and I have some cute characters and couples, and I know what the themes of the story will be.
But I can't think up the plot.
And THAT is the most frustrating thing that I have EVER come across. Because I don't want to write a formulaic book but one that actually makes you think. Even though it's a fantasy. So, I'm wondering. How do you think up your plots? I used to be able to think up one off of a base theme, but lately... it's like there's a wall and I can't breaking it down.
UGH.
Oh well. Advice? Please?

I want it to pretty much be about not running away from whatever problems there are or hiding from the problems or distracting yourself from the problems. And I want it to be about letting someone go in order to make them happy and all that cheesy stuff And there's a bad guy - I just don't know what he's going to do

Well perhaps, there is a plot in which their are two protagonists. Both are in a predicament with their villain, and in hopes to save his/her friend the main character swallows his courage and saves his pal from danger or something. My mind was stuck on what your idea was, but then I switched to something completely different. Maybe if you just listen to the first few sentences.
