She puts on her costume, ready
To step out onto the stage.
There are flashes and
screams
the crowd goes wild.
She performs to the best of her
ability. She has them on their feet.
And when the performance is over,
She'll return to her small trailer.
She pours another glass
and takes off her sequined costume.
She'll put it back on tomorrow.

Wow. This is really intense  It is all performance? She's some sort of performer? And then when she goes back she has a drink of water and gets ready for tomorrow?? Am I reading it right? |

The person who I am writing about is someone very close to me, and in a little way she IS me. She is constantly putting on a performance and the routine is becoming very dull for her.
I would love to right a story about her one day, but I fear I am not good enough!

Well what I'd say is that the person is facing troubles! Poetry as an art form is the best way to do that and that is why I discovered this site to post poetry and hopefully get better!!

She is constantly putting on a performance and the routine is becoming very dull for her. It's safer to be inside, to be a cacoon like a butterfly, but only when the butterfly comes out and BREAKS OUT does its full beauty be displayed! Wow you've inspired me to write another poem! I'd already posted all the ones I've done but now I think I've got a new one coming! ;D i'm glad i could help! that's what i'm here for. |
