Rebirth of a Forum Message Board


School "open night", parents and 5/6 year-olds gathered in the school hall. Teacher tells parents she has been talking to her class about the importance of thinking about what other people don't have, rather than just what the kids themselves want.

She starts asking the class what they would wish for those poorer people. One after another, the children mention things like food, water, good health care, each answer being applauded by the parents. She selects a young lad next. "What about you, Tommy? What would you wish for?"

Tommy frowns - he seems to be having some difficulty coming up with something different. Then, his little face brightens up, and he says, "I'd wish for some clothes for all those ladies on dad's computer."
