I say Harry Potter is better than Twilight. I like both the series, but the twilight series is so boring! Like someone said, it's just Romeo and Juliet! I think J.k Rowling did much better. She actually wrote...and her story is a bit sad at first. She had to start the books on a napkin at a diner!
Stephenie Meyer rushed Twilight, made her charries too perfect and she's always saying the same things over and over! They kiss, then they kiss again...Edward leaves...Bella is lonely...he comes back...back to the kissing... It drives me nuts...
And Harry Potter, in my opinion is awesome.
That's all I have to say!

HP no doubt, I read all the Twilight books and seen(forced to see the movie) and the same with HP books. The plot is much better in HP better characters twists and turns it was great. While watchign Twilight I sat there and complained throughout the whole movie.
I also love the Maximum Ride series but the last book was disappointing.

I tried to make a deal, that I would only see Twilight if I had a date with me. Apparently all girls in our school have already seen it so no luck there.

Harry is much better. Twlight wasn't that original she said (the author) that it came to her in a dream but dreams are thoughts and she was probably thinking of romeo and juliet exept she thought differently and her dream was romeo and juliet exept romeos a vampire and juleit is a human. 2 different familys basically. (i hope that makes sense)

These two books probably cannot be compared. The thing is: popularity vs. popularity. They are both wonderful series, but comparing two mainstream books just seems impossible for me. Being a male, I am somewhat embarrassed to say that I read all of the Twilight books, not so much the Harry Potter books. But what I learned in my experience with both books, J.K. Rowling's ease with character development trumps anything that Stephenie Meyer can produce, well at least from what I have seen. The Twilight series seems that it would not be enjoyable if it was not rushed, like you say. Honestly, I would not compare Twilight to Romeo and Juliet at all. Meyer's devotion to adjectives and adverbs can seep into the minds of most readers, but they are overused and most of the time un-frekkin-necessary . Shakespeare was basically figurative language with an comprehensible backstory. He introduced characters wonderfully, and honestly, I'd just like it if no one would ever compare him to anyone :3. But yeah, I say Jk trumps. But Twilight has good insights, I guess.

^ your amazing! I could name a dozen female who would actually adore you for reading Twilight!
Do you guys think that the reason the Harry P film was put off was because Twilight was released at the same time?
tbh the Twilight film didn't last too long in the cinemas anyhow (in the UK that is)

It was in theaters in america FOREVER!!! I thought it would never end!!
And the HP movie was put off because of twilight , if they were released at the same time HP would have lost ALOT of money, because evrysingle tween girl wanted to see twilight.
i honestly dont know why people are obsessed with twlight.
